사이드 하산과 비전화공방 까르의 협업, <미 킬라, 수 킬라>
<미 킬라, 수 킬라>는 우리가 문화의 이주를 어떻게 받아들이는지, 문화 속에서 정치적 소유권은 어떻게 정의되는지에 대한 질문으로부터 시작되었다. 이 작품은 이주 역사로부터 만들어지는 문화의 혼종, 차용, 문화적 뿌리에 기반한다. 작가는 난과 커리를 만드는 법을 배워 한국에서 일하고 있는 요리사 까르를 초대하여 관객과 함께 문화적 소유권에 대한 대화를 나누는 퍼포먼스를 진행한다.

Sayed Hasan and Caru, Mi Qila, Su Qila
Mi Qila, Su Qila…is a reflection on the tenuous connection created between self and heritage and the hybridity of culture from the history of migration. How do we embrace the migration of culture? How are the politics ownership defined in culture? The artist asked these questions as he creates a installation that is a parallel reflection to his father’s land in Pakistan to the local farmers. Sayed invites Caru, a locally based Korean cook who has taught herself to make naan and curry for her living to take part in his installation and to engage and explore with the audience in conversation of cultural ownership.
